The council supports the Missouri 40-hour Basic CIT course for law enforcement and other first responders.
Missouri uses a standardized 40-hour Basic CIT curriculum statewide, centered on behavioral health education and de-escalation skills.
CIT is advanced training for experienced officers who volunteer for it.
Specialty courses are also offered around the state, including Youth CIT, Jail CIT, CIT Telecommunications (dispatch), CIT Veterans, and CIT Basic EMS. They appear on the state schedule when scheduled.
Current classes across Missouri, including any in our area, are listed on the MO CIT Training Schedule at https://www.missouricit.org/trainings/. The state notes the schedule is a live link, so check back often for updates.
